Bolivian president swears in new Armed Forces High Command

La Paz [Bolivia], October 6: Bolivian President Luis Alberto Arce swore in the new High Command of the Armed Forces on Monday, highlighting the respect for discipline and subordination.
Among the officers sworn in were Major General Augusto Garcia Lara as new commander in chief of the Armed Forces, Air Brigadier General Teofilo Medina as new chief of staff, and Captain Francis Enfrain Frank Salazar as new commander general of the navy.
"Subordination and discipline are the backbone of the Armed Forces in the fulfillment of its lofty constitutional mission," Arce said.
Garcia Lara said he will assume the responsibility to strengthen institutional discipline, and demonstrate the willingness to collaborate with the justice system in pending cases involving members of the military.
