Cambodian King embarks on state visit to India

Phnom Penh [Cambodia], May 29: Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni left here on Monday for India for a state visit to further promote ties and cooperation between the two countries.
In a royal message to his compatriots, Sihamoni, 70, said he will be absent from the country from May 29 to 31 in order to pay a state visit to India.
"During my absence, Samdech Say Chhum, President of the Senate, will assume the title of the acting Head of State of the Kingdom of Cambodia," the king said.
Cambodia and India are commemorating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic ties.
In New Delhi, the Cambodian king will hold royal audiences with Indian President DroupadiMurmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which bilateral and multilateral cooperation will be discussed
