More than 30 people killed after bus plunges 200m down a ravine in Peru

Buenos Aries [Argentina], November 14: More than 30 people died when a bus collided with a truck on the Pan-American Highway and plunged 200 metres down a ravine, Peruvian media reported on Wednesday.
The interprovincial bus was travelling in the district of Ocoña on Peru's southern coast when it went off the road. More than 40 people had been on board, news agency Andina reported.
The agency cited the head of the local health authority, Walther Oporto Perez, as saying that 36 or 37 people died in the crash.
The driver of the truck was arrested to determine his responsibility and legal status in the incident, Peru's Public Ministry said. (DPA)
