Over 20 mln fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Morocco

Rabat (Morocco) Oct 9: The total number of people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Morocco reached 20,047,440, the Moroccan Ministry of Health said on Friday.
So far, a total of 23,012,112 first doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Morocco, the ministry said in a statement.
The North African country launched a nationwide vaccination campaign on Jan. 28 after the arrival of the first shipment of China's Sinopharm vaccines.
Meanwhile, Morocco's tally of COVID-19 infections rose to 938,286 as 655 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, while the total recoveries increased by 1,307 to 916,324, the statement said.
The death toll from the coronavirus in Morocco rose by 14 to 14,427, while 2,516 people remained in intensive care units, it added.
