2025 Poland "Chinese Film Festival" opens in Warsaw

Warsaw [Poland], December 6: The 2025 China Film Festival opened Friday evening here, with more than 300 guests attending the opening ceremony and watching the animated blockbuster "Ne Zha 2."
Lu Shan, Chinese ambassador to Poland, said in his opening remarks that film is an art that transcends time and space and also a bridge connecting people's hearts. He noted that exchanges between China and Poland in the field of film have been close and have played an important role in promoting understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
Polish cinema boasts a long history, and many Polish films are loved by Chinese audiences, he said. In recent years, more and more Chinese film and television productions have also entered the Polish market, becoming a window for the Polish public to better understand China.
As next year will mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Poland, he expressed hope that both sides will further deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges and cooperation from this new starting point, and continue to bring new vitality into the traditional friendship between the two countries. The three-day festival was hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Poland and organized by Polish film company 9th Plan.
Michal Pilat, head of Polish film company 9th Plan, said that for centuries Poland and China have engaged in dialogue in commerce, knowledge and the arts. Despite the distance between the two countries, these ties are growing stronger. Believing that culture has an extraordinary power to connect people, he said that the company's desire is to build a bridge of film and culture between Poland and China, connecting creators and audiences in both countries.
The festival will screen four Chinese films, including "Ne Zha 2" and "Dead to Rights" in Warsaw and several other cities in Poland.
