50 people shot in weekend shootings in Chicago

Chicago (Illinois) [US], June 5: At least 50 people were shot, including 10 dead, when shootings occurred in the city of Chicago (USA) over the weekend, according to KABC-TV today 5.6.
The latest shooting occurred in the Austin area at about 1 am on June 4 (local time), killing a 25-year-old woman and injuring six people. In a video obtained by KABC-TV, dozens of people can be seen fleeing the gunfire, taking cover behind vehicles. Authorities are investigating the incident and no suspects have been detained.
Minutes earlier, a man was shot dead and another injured in downtown Chicago , according to police. No one has been detained since this incident. Hours later, another man was shot dead and a woman was injured in Little Italy. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
On June 6, there were at least 6 fatal shootings, leaving a total of 6 people dead and 2 injured. There was also a non-lethal shooting on the same day, in which a 16-year-old boy and a 28-year-old man were shot and beaten by someone in a car, Chicago police said. Authorities are investigating the cause of the shootings and no one has been arrested.
On June 2, Chicago police said a 16-year-old girl was injured in a shooting in Austin. In addition, there was a shooting at a car carrying four people, including two children. Accordingly, a 27-year-old man was shot in the back and a 32-year-old woman was shot in the right leg. The two children were not injured. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
