Aug 11, 2022

The Hague [Netherlands], August 11: Ajax captain Dusan Tadic was injured last month in an armed robbery near his home in Amsterdam, according to Dutch media reports on Wednesday.
The perpetrators fled without having taken anything. The police believe they targeted Tadic specifically and were probably after a valuable watch of his, said Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
The attempted robbery occurred at Tadic's house on the evening of July 27 by two armed men with helmets, who approached the footballer as he got out of his car.
The Serbian immediately realized something was wrong and tried to flee. After a short chase, a scuffle with the robbers ensued. According to De Telegraaf, Tadic managed to open the visor of the helmet of one of the robbers and slap him.
Tadic suffered minor injuries to his hand and eventually managed to escape into a catering facility. After the struggle, the robbers fled on a scooter.
The incident came a few days before Ajax's match against PSV in the Dutch Super Cup, which Ajax lost 4-2. Tadic played that entire match with plasters on the fingers of his right hand.
