Biden turns back on campaign mode, declares he will 'go all in'

Jul 18, 2024

Washington [US], July 18: Mr. Biden postponed his scheduled speech in Texas on July 15, but still planned to campaign in Nevada, where he would send a message to two important groups of voters: African-American and Latino.
Speaking at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) convention on July 16 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Mr. Biden returned to "campaign mode" and attacked his opponent Donald Trump for the first time since his predecessor's assassination attempt. He pledged to "go all out" to win re-election on November 5, AFP reported.
President Biden criticized Mr. Trump for lying about the jobs of the black community. The White House boss affirmed that the black unemployment rate has reached a record low under the Biden-Harris administration, according to Reuters. US Vice President Kamala Harris is also scheduled to campaign in the two states of Michigan and North Carolina this week.
Many conference attendees expressed their support for the incumbent president to continue his campaign. Donna Jackson-Houston, a member of the NAACP, said: "I saw President Biden with a lot of energy. I and many others were skeptical after the debate, but today he convinced me."
