Former AC Milan defender Antonelli joins Miami FC

Feb 18, 2021

Miami (Florida) Feb 18: Former Italy international defender Luca Antonelli has joined Miami FC for the 2021 Major League Soccer season, the club said on Wednesday.
The 34-year-old full-back, who has not played since leaving Empoli last October, agreed to a contract that will run until November 30.
"Luca's quality speaks for itself," Miami FC head coach Paul Dalglish said. "[He] has plenty of miles left in his tank and we're excited to have him here for this upcoming season.
"We've got plenty of young players in our team and bringing in someone with his experience will help us develop them both on and off the field."
Antonelli has been capped 13 times for Italy in a career that has also included spells at AC Milan, Bari, Parma and Genoa.
The MLS season is due to begin on April 17.
