Governor of Florida is about to run for President of the United States

Florida [US], May 25: AFP yesterday reported that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is preparing to launch his presidential campaign in 2024.
The 45-year-old politician is considered a rising star in the Republican party and a potential contender with former President Donald Trump for the party's nomination. Mr. DeSantis is expected to announce the decision in an online event with billionaire Elon Musk on Twitter at 6pm on May 24 (5pm on May 25, VN time).
Mr. DeSantis still trails Mr. Trump in most polls, despite the fact that Mr. Trump is entangled in numerous legal tussles and has been prosecuted for allegedly paying hush money to adult film actors. Judge Juan Mercan in a court in New York City yesterday announced that Mr. Trump's trial related to the case will take place on March 25, 2024, when he will have to be busy campaigning, according to Reuters. "They forced us to attend the trial on March 25, right in the middle of the primary election season. It's called election interference," Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social later.
