Mar 25, 2024

Tel Aviv [Israel], March 25: Israeli attacked targets of the Iran-backed Shiite militia Hezbollah in Lebanon, the army said in the early hours of Sunday.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) fighter jets "struck a Hezbollah manufacturing site containing weapons in the area of Baalbek" in eastern Lebanon on Saturday night, the military said in a Telegram post.
According to local authorities, three people were injured. Baalbek is considered a Hezbollah stronghold and is located around 100 kilometres from the Israeli-Lebanese border.
Shortly afterwards, according to the IDF, around 50 rockets were fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon towards northern Israel. Some of the rockets were intercepted, while others "fell in open areas," the IDF said, adding that IDF aircraft struck the launchers from which some of the rockets were fired.
There were initially no reports of casualties or damage.
Since the massacre in Israel by Palestinian organization Hamas on October 7 and the start of the war, mutual attacks have occurred almost daily.
