Israel, Hezbollah trade attacks in south Lebanon

Tel Aviv [Israel], April 27: Seven people were killed and 24 injured in southern Lebanon in fresh attacks by Israeli forces and the Iran-backed Hezbollah militia on Saturday, the Health Ministry in Beirut reported on Sunday.
Hezbollah said its forces had attacked Israeli troops in the region early on Sunday. Several people have been killed in the fighting, the militia said.
The Israeli military did not confirm this account.
According to the military, three drones launched from Lebanon were intercepted before they were able to enter Israeli territory.
Fighting has continued between Israel and Hezbollah despite a ceasefire in place in Lebanon since April 17.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced on Sunday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon since March 2, has risen to 2,509 dead, in addition to 7,755 injured.
In a statement, the ministry's Health Emergency Operations Center said that the total toll of the aggression reached 2,509 dead, in addition to 7,755 injured, and that the outskirts of the town of Shama were subjected to a number of artillery shells, coinciding with the shelling of the town of Zawtar and Yahmar Al Shaqif.
The Israeli entity continues its attacks on southern Lebanon in violation of the truce that began on April 16 for ten days and was extended at midnight last night for three weeks.
