Kiev slams 'shameful' lifting of EU sanctions on Russian oligarchs

New York [US], September 23: Ukraine has described the lifting of EU sanctions against two Russian billionaires as "shameful and unjustifiable." "Moscow is celebrating because it got what it wanted: a sense of impunity, the humiliation of the EU, and division among Europeans,"
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha wrote on X. The diplomat called on 'all' EU member states to now impose their own national sanctions against the two Russians.
The comments came after the bloc agreed to lift its sanctions against the Russian oligarchs Alisher Usmanov and Mikhail Fridman. At the same time, measures against around 3,000 other individuals, organizations and companies were extended by 36 months.
