Magnitude 4.8 quake shakes Tokyo and Kanagawa in Japan

Tokyo [Japan], January 28: An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.8 struck Tokyo, Kanagawa Prefecture and other surrounding areas on Sunday morning, but there was no danger of a tsunami, the Japanese Meteorological Agency said.
The 8:59 a.m. quake registered a maximum of shindo 4 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale to 7 in central Tokyo and other areas of the capital and Yokohama, the agency said, with the epicenter in Tokyo Bay at a depth of 80 kilometres.

Electro Mech Limited, engaged in the field of turnkey projects of supply, installation, testing and commissioning of pumping machineries along with comprehensive operation and maintenance has reported net profit of Rs. 8.35 crore for the financial year ended March 2025, rise of 4.25% as compared to the net profit of Rs. 8.01 crore reported in the financial year 2023-24. Revenue from operations of the company for the FY25 was reported at Rs. 121.67 crore, rise of 3.96% Y-o-Y as compared to the revenue from operations of Rs. 117.03 crore.
