Pakistan reports 3,567 new COVID-19 cases, 7 more deaths

Islamabad (Pakistan), January 15: Pakistan reported 3,567 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and seven more deaths over the last 24 hours, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said on Friday.
The NCOC, a department leading the nation's campaign against the pandemic, said the country has confirmed 1,315,834 cases so far, including 1,260,407 recoveries.
The active cases in the country have surged to 26,428, including 675 in critical condition.
According to the NCOC statistics, seven more deaths from the pandemic were recorded over the last 24 hours, bringing the overall death toll to 28,999.
Pakistan's southern Sindh province is the most affected region in terms of cases, with 494,064 infections followed by the eastern Punjab province which has reported 450,686 cases so far.
