Nov 29, 2024

Bucharest [Romania], November 29: Romania's Supreme Defence Council (CSAT) has accused TikTok of aiding pro-Russian far-right candidate Calin Georgescu in the recent presidential election by failing to label his campaign content as political propaganda.
TikTok, a popular social media app for short video clips, failed to identify Georgescu as a politician in the material he posted on the platform, the presidential office in Bucharest announced on Thursday.
The CSAT, a security council led by Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, also includes the heads of the secret services, the military and several ministers. It is calling on law enforcement and electoral authorities to investigate the matter. (DPA)
