Moscow [Russia], October 29: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has met his Belarusian counterpart Maxim Ryzhenkov in Minsk, agreeing to coordinate foreign policy efforts against sanctions and legal aggression from the "collective West."
The discussion on Monday focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and inter-ministerial ties, including expanding diplomatic representation and preparing for the annual joint meeting of the Russian and Belarusian foreign ministries' boards, scheduled for late November, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
The ministers also shared aligned views on international issues and vowed to maintain mutual support on multilateral platforms. Special attention was given to diplomatic support for integration within the Union State, highlighting the creation of a shared humanitarian space and the protection of equal rights for citizens of both countries.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Russia's initiative for a new Eurasian security and cooperation architecture, alongside Belarus's "Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century," now a joint project.
