Russia shoots down more than 100 Ukrainian UAVs in one day

Moscow [Russia], October 29: The Russian Defense Ministry announced yesterday that it had shot down 109 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in many areas on the territories of both Russia and Ukraine in one day.
In Russia 's Voronezh province , Governor Alexander Gusev said on October 27 that Ukrainian UAVs had targeted ethanol plants in the area.
The attack caused fires and damaged two industrial facilities. On the same day, October 27, Moscow announced its progress in eastern Ukraine by taking control of the Izmailivka settlement in Donetsk province.
Ukraine has not commented on Russia's statement. Kyiv often announces attacks on energy infrastructure in Russia in response to Moscow's raids.
