Singapore reports 1,440 new COVID-19 cases

Singapore, September 12: Singapore reported 1,440 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the total tally to 1,859,937.
Of the new cases, 190 cases were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 1,250 through ART (antigen rapid test) tests, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.
Among the PCR cases, 177 were local transmissions and 13 were imported cases. Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, there were 1,130 local transmissions and 120 imported cases.
A total of 220 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with 10 cases in intensive care units.
No deaths were reported from COVID-19 on Sunday, making the total death toll stay unchanged at 1,602, the ministry said.
