Suspect in killing of politician, husband arrested: US governor

Washington DC [US], June 17: Police in the US mid-western state of Minnesota have arrested the suspected perpetrator of the fatal Saturday shooting of a Democratic politician and her husband, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said.
US media had previously reported that the man, 57, had been taken into custody. The New York Times said he was charged with second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder in the shooting deaths of the couple in their home and the attempted killing of another Democratic politician and his wife in their home.
