Syria condemns Israeli drone attack killing six soldiers near Damascus

Damascus [Syria], August 28: Six soldiers were killed in an Israeli drone strike in Syria, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday, condemning the attack as a serious violation of international law and a breach of Syria's sovereignty.
The ministry said the attack, which took place on Tuesday, is part of "the repeated aggressive policies by the Israeli occupation that aims at undermining security and stability in the region." The Israeli military did not immediately comment.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, two attacks took place on Tuesday near Damascus, targeting a military site, then targeting the rescue workers who arrived at the site.
