Hanoi [Vietnam], April 6: Few people know that before becoming famous, Sy Luan was a backup singer. After a period of hard work in the profession, he chose to pass on his experience to young people through teaching.
Speaking about his singing career, Sy Luan said it was fate. He was exposed to music from a young age, incorporating familiar aspects of life into his compositions through songs like "Cun Yeu" (My Beloved Puppy), "Ao Dai Oi" (Oh, My Ao Dai), "Tuoi Hong" (Pink Age)... Among them, "Mat Nai Cha Cha Cha" is the song most closely associated with his career.
However, Sy Luan asserts that he pursues music naturally, without intentionally writing songs to sell. Previously, he was a backup singer, often going to venues to ask for opportunities to perform, even without a fee. Recalling that time, the 80s-era singer shared: "Back then, singers loved wearing white outfits to perform. I rode my motorbike to Binh Duong, and by the time I arrived, my outfit had turned black."
Sỹ Luân recounted that back then, he would go to the stage but had to wait for famous singers like Siu Black, Lam Trường, Đan Trường , Phương Thanh. to perform, unless all the other singers had finished performing before he could go on stage. "After singing for a while, I asked the promoter if I would receive my fee. They said yes, that I would get it at the end of the month, but I never saw it. Eventually, I realized that singing was a joy," he shared.
