Typhoon Kajiki claims several lives, causes damage in Vietnam and Thailand

Hanoi [Vietnam], August 28: Torrential rain and landslides triggered by Typhoon Kajiki have claimed several lives and caused severe damage in Vietnam and Thailand, authorities reported on Wednesday.
In Vietnam, at least seven people were killed after the storm made landfall on Monday evening, according to government reports. Another person remains missing, and more than 30 people were injured. Heavy rainfall flooded large parts of the country, including the capital Hanoi. In the northern Thai province of Chiang Mai, which is popular with tourists, two people died in a landslide in a village.
