Abu Dhabi [UAE], February 28: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, reaffirming its commitment to Syria's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
In a statement issued by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the country denounced the attacks as a violation of international law, particularly the 1974 Agreement of Disengagement between Israel and Syria. The ministry emphasized that such actions contravene established legal frameworks and exacerbate regional instability.
The UAE reiterated its categorical rejection of any acts that escalate tensions and undermine efforts to achieve peace in the region.
Israeli warplanes on Tuesday carried out air strikes on several military sites in southern Syria and outside its capital, Damascus, according to Syrian local media.
