US soldiers to remain in Poland and numbers could increase: Trump

Sep 04, 2025

Washington [US], September 4: US President Donald Trump says US soldiers will continue to be stationed in Poland, and said their numbers might even be increased.
"We never even thought in terms of removing soldiers from Poland," Trump said on Wednesday, during the inaugural visit of Poland's new president, Karol Nawrocki, to the White House. He said withdrawls from other countries had been considered, but that the US would "help Poland protect itself." Since the beginning of Trump's second term, there have been fears in Europe that US troops could be withdrawn.
Nawrocki replied that this was the first time in the 20th and 21st centuries that the Poles were happy about the presence of foreign soldiers in their country. (DPA)

It occurs when blood flow to the brain is blocked (ischaemic stroke) or when a blood vessel bursts (haemorrhagic stroke), causing brain cells to die within minutes. Although more common in people over 40, stroke can occur at any age. Timely medical intervention can save lives and significantly reduce long-term disability.
